How Maps Work

In this message, we’re challenged to take Jesus’ Great Commandment—“love your neighbor as yourself”—literally. Drawing from the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, we see that neighboring isn’t just a concept—it’s a mission. It’s inconvenient, messy, and sometimes costly, but it’s also the way people around us begin to see that God is for them. We don’t have to reach all 130,000 people in our community who don’t yet know God’s love, but we can start with the ones right next door. By showing up, acting with compassion, and investing in relationships, we get to be the tangible expression of God’s love where we live. Neighboring isn’t about who qualifies as a neighbor—it’s about becoming one.
