A Christmas Story
Dec 14, 2025 • Matt and Stacy Santen
This sermon centers on Luke 2:25–35, where Simeon prophesies over the infant Jesus, revealing who He would become and reminding Mary and Joseph of the sacred responsibility placed in their hands. Using this moment alongside a parent-child dedication and the movie A Christmas Story, the message challenges parents—and anyone with influence—to consider the long game, model a faithful example, and surrender control to God. Just as Mary and Joseph raised Jesus with humility, grace, and trust despite their imperfections, we’re called to parent and influence others with a clear vision shaped by eternity, knowing that no one is formed by perfect parenting but by a faithful God at work in imperfect people.
