Nehemiah

This week’s message centered on the heartfelt prayer of Nehemiah and how it gives us a powerful model for our own conversations with God. When Nehemiah heard about the brokenness in Jerusalem, he didn’t just feel bad—he turned immediately to prayer. His example shows us how to align our hearts with God’s, affirm who He is, confess our sins honestly, trust in His promises, and then take action. Nehemiah didn’t just ask God to fix the problem—he asked God to use him to be part of the solution. The challenge was simple but bold: what if we prayed that same way? What if we asked God to break our hearts for what breaks His, and then gave Him our “yes” to be the answer to the prayer? That’s how we can truly pray like Nehemiah.
