Barriers

Dec 8, 2019    Matt Santen

This message challenged us to identify and remove the barriers that keep us from fully experiencing Christ—not just at Christmas, but all year long. Centered on Luke 2:7, where there was no room in the inn for Jesus’ birth, the sermon explored three characters who missed the arrival of Christ: the innkeeper, who was too busy; the religious leaders, who were too familiar; and King Herod, who was too afraid to give up control. Each of their responses mirrors ways we can miss what God wants to do in our lives when we let busyness, apathy, or fear take over. The invitation was clear: slow down, seek Jesus personally, and surrender control—because the more we release to Him, the more of His presence and peace we’ll experience, not just in December, but every day.
