Rich Giver

Nov 10, 2019    Matt Santen

This message unpacked what it means to be a truly generous giver—not out of guilt or obligation, but out of joy and grace. Centered on 2 Corinthians 8, it looked at the example of the Macedonian churches, who gave generously even in their poverty because their hearts were full of joy in the Lord. The sermon outlined eight key traits of a generous life, including giving by percentage, pre-deciding to give, and understanding that all we have belongs to God. Rather than asking “How much do I have to give?” the invitation was to ask, “How much can I give to make a difference?” Generosity, when shaped by grace, becomes not a burden but a blessing—a spiritual act that multiplies impact, grows our faith, and reflects God’s heart to the world.
