What is Wonder Ministry?

Wonder Ministry is a special needs inclusion ministry within RidgeKids Family Ministry. Designed for children who may benefit from additional support, Wonder partners with families to help children participate fully in the RidgeKids experience alongside their peers through volunteer Wonder Buddies, sensory-friendly supports, and individualized care. Our goal is for every child to feel safe, welcomed, included, and encouraged as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. Rooted in Psalm 139:14, Wonder reminds every child that they are wonderfully made and perfectly loved.

Enroll Your Child in Wonder Ministry

Wonder Ministry is available during the 11:15 service for children from birth through 5th grade who may benefit from additional support while participating in RidgeKids. To begin the enrollment process, families should complete the interest form linked below. A member of our Wonder team will then contact you to schedule an initial meeting, complete an intake form, and provide a tour of our RidgeKids environments and Quiet Room. From there, we will work with your family to determine the best support for your child and connect you with a trained volunteer Wonder Buddy as we walk through Sunday morning procedures together. How to Volunteer

Wonder Buddies play an important role in helping children feel supported, comfortable, and included within RidgeKids. Volunteers serve alongside children during Sunday mornings by assisting with transitions, participation, sensory needs, and encouragement. Whether you have experience with special needs or simply have a heart for kids and families, training and support are provided. Wonder is built on relationships, patience, and showing every child the love of Jesus. To learn more about volunteering, please click here: Volunteer Interest Link.
