Genesis 3:16
This message takes us to the heart of Genesis 3, where humanity’s relationship with God and each other unraveled through sin. Starting with the serpent’s strategy—creating doubt in God’s goodness—we see how the fall introduced shame, fear, hiding, and blame-shifting into our lives. What began in Eden still echoes in us today: we cover up our failures, distance ourselves from God, and point fingers instead of taking responsibility. But even in the darkness of this chapter, there is a glimmer of hope. God comes looking, not with condemnation, but with grace. Through the first promise of Christ in Genesis 3:15, we’re reminded that Jesus is the ultimate cure for our brokenness. When we confess and receive His forgiveness, we don’t have to stay stuck in shame—we’re invited to walk in freedom.
