Money Is the Root of All Evil

Feb 15, 2026    Matt Santen

In 1 Timothy 6, Paul clarifies that money itself isn’t evil—but the love of money can quietly pull our hearts away from God. This message challenges us to honestly examine whether we’re living with contentment or constantly wanting “just a little more.” While wealth can create pride and false security, Scripture calls us to put our hope in God, not in what we own. Instead of drifting toward accumulation, we’re invited into a better way: humility, good works, and intentional generosity. True freedom comes not from having more, but from learning contentment and choosing to use what we’ve been given to bless others.
