The Seven Deadly Sins
In Mark 7:21–23, Jesus makes it clear that sin isn’t just a behavior issue—it’s a heart issue. This message tackles the myth of the “seven deadly sins” and asks whether some sins are worse than others or even unforgivable. While history grouped certain sins together, Scripture reminds us that all sin separates us from God—but none of it is beyond the reach of Jesus. Because of the cross, we don’t live in fear of a special category of unforgivable mistakes; we live in freedom. The only truly unforgivable posture is a heart that permanently rejects God’s grace. For everyone else, forgiveness is real, ongoing, and available. Instead of obsessing over categories of sin, we’re invited to trust Jesus, honestly confront what’s in our hearts, and respond with gratitude by following Him more closely every day.
